Tasting Notes

Deep red, purple colour. Enjoy a bountiful bouquet of plum and violet aromas with hints of earthy notes and cinnamon spice. The palate offers intense, dark red cherry, black liquorice and fine tannin with impeccable length ensuring this wine will age for many years.

Match this wine with meat dishes, a rare rib eye steak would be ideal, lamb and pork will also pair well, mushroom for vegetarian option.

What the reviewers are saying

Very deep, dark purple/red colour, and a dense, richly ripe and concentrated bouquet of black fruits and spice, and a trace of mint. The wine is full-bodied and loaded with tannin, which coats the mouth and tongue. There’s also a hint of sandalwood. It’s a big, ballsy wine, very gutsy and powerful, emphatic and firmly structured, with length and aging potential. The flavours are good and ripe. Huon Hooke
