We’re super excited our new vintage release 2023 Pecorino has just been awarded Gold in the 2023 Adelaide Hills Wine Show. This gorgeous white wine pays homage to it’s Italian heritage showcasing our expression in trademark Paracombe style. A single vineyard wine, the climate and terroir of the vineyard has similarities to its origins in Italy adding to the allure of this variety.
Highly regarded wine judge and reviewer Mike Bennie has this to say about this wine,“Pecorino as a variety has legs in Aus, is my humblest opinion. Refreshing, slightly spicy-herbal, crisp whites for seafood, hell yeah. Crunchy texture, green mango, white pepper, sage leaf, some wet slate characters. Some good concentration here too but retains lighter, fresher styling, and the finish is all crushed rock minerally and very satsifying as a conclusion. Delicious, moreish, wonderful expression.”
Another new release leaping out of the stable with huge credentials is our 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine’s been awarded Double Gold. Top Gold at the 2023 Royal Adelaide Wine and Gold in the 2023 Royal Sydney Wine Shows. It’s single vineyard and estate grown, and displays all the glory and more of this magnificent variety.
It has certainly impressed Master of Wine and Judge Neil Goodwin from Halliday Wine Companion. He has this to say about our 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon,” This is a brilliant crimson edged with brick. Cedary wine of stony roll-in-the-mouth tannins, like ball bearings across the gums massaging currant, cedar and tobacco leaf flavours. Elegance is written all over this. Drinking well now, but will continue to impress.
